TYPES OF WORK VISAS / WORK PERMITS IN CAMBODIA
Foreign nationals working in Cambodia require both a valid visa (usually an E-class/business visa) and a separate work permit issued by the Ministry of Labour.
- E-Class (Business) Visa
The standard entry visa for foreign nationals intending to work. It is initially issued short-term and must be extended for employment purposes.
- Work Permit & Employment Card
After obtaining an E-class visa, foreign employees must secure a work permit sponsored by their Cambodian employer. This is mandatory for lawful employment.
- Self-Employed / Business Owner Work Authorization
Foreign business owners and company directors must also obtain work permits, even if they are shareholders.
